This is a truly outstanding piece so far. The detail you have is so wonderful, and once you finish, there will be some people who think that it is a photograph.
The originality of the piece makes it special. I truly do not believe that many people would think of this, but I feel as though this is something that he would do.
I also love your use of cross-hatching. It could look horrible, but you seem to know exactly how to use the techinque correctly, which I have rarely seen people who do.
Overall, this piece is quite well done, and I am truly unable to find any faults in it so far. I hope that when you finish you get the recognition that you deserve. Good luck with completing this wonderful work of art.
